Audra’s Teaser Review

This is one of those great stories that is exactly what it sounds like—just like all the best B-movie horror shlock of the 80s. You want a blood lake monster? You get it in Blood Lake Monster.

The Bell Chime by Mona Kabbani

“Can you hear the bell chime?”

A girl suffering from paralyzing night terrors finds a missing poster hanging from the door of her apartment building. On that poster is a photograph of a frighteningly familiar face.

It’s her.

Only, she’s never seen this photo before and something about its grin scares her. How its eyes seem to follow her no matter where she finds herself in the room.

Over a series of strange events to follow—events that will make her question whether her sanity is still there or fleeting—she must discover:

What is real and what is the nightmare?

The Bell Chime is the disturbing, psychological novella debut from Mona Kabbani. Slated for publication on September 2nd, 2020, the Full Corn Moon.

Emily’s Teaser Review

The Bell Chime is one of my favorite horror stories this year! It’s creepy and fascinating, and I was fully invested while reading it.

The Possession of Natalie Glasgow

The Possession of Natalie Glasgow by Hailey Piper

Margaret Willow has never met an eleven-year-old as dangerous as Natalie Glasgow. Natalie spends her days comatose, but at night she prowls her mother’s home, unnaturally strong and insatiably carnivorous. With doctors baffled, Natalie’s mother reaches out to Margaret, an expert in the supernatural. But even Margaret is mystified and terrified by Natalie’s condition. She’s dying, and before she dies, she might kill someone. Has a demon clawed its way inside an eleven-year-old girl? Or does the source of this nightmare lie with Natalie’s dead father?

A tight, tense novella, The Possession of Natalie Glasgow twists the exorcism tale at every turn down to its final grave confrontation.

Laurie’s Teaser Review

I listened to this novella as an unabridged audiobook read by Gemma Amor, voice actor and author herself, and she knows her way around a story. Her tone is lovely and she was a perfect choice for the telling of this haunting story.
