We are opening our doors for submissions for the Ladies of Horror Fiction Presents Stories of Horror. This series aims to highlight horror stories written by women.
We will be taking submissions based on the theme of the month. The theme of the month will be posted in advance via Twitter and will be listed at the bottom of this page. We will be taking the following types of fiction:
-Poetry: Poetry will be read with other poems.
-Flash Fiction: Stories that are under 1500 words. These stories will be narrated in one podcast episode.
-Short Stories: Stories which are over 1500 words and are less than 7500 words. Typically short stories will be read over two separate podcast episodes.
The Ladies of Horror Fiction Podcast is not a paying market. Our work is done out of love for the genre and a desire to give back and promote the horror community. We invite women authors to join us in our mission and submit original stories to be shared on our podcast. We do not require exclusive rights, but the author must ensure submitted stories are eligible to be used on our podcast and are not under exclusive contract with another publication.
Submissions must be sent to lohfpod@gmail.com with the subject submission and the theme you are submitting your story for. The story should be named Title-author.docx. The submission deadline is the 1st of the month. For example, submissions for July must be received by July 1st.
